random thoughts on a cold day

I can remember my father tell how he and another
guy would cut and chop wood all day. When they had cut a
couple of wagon loads they would take it to town and sale
it for twenty five cents a wagon load.
A huge storm that ravaged north Georgia
uprooted a huge 200 year old tree
A two mule powered wagon would be around
8 to 10 feet long by 4 feet wide and as deep
with side boards as it would be practical.
Money on a farm in foothills of
north Georgia in the early twenty century was on
a good day a hard thing to come by, I would imagine
Some of the things he did when he
Would slip off and make his way to
A secluded depression close by to
Small spring was one of those
things things that made NASCAR
as common as cool drink on a hot
Summer day
